The aim of this publication is to analyze the topic high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV), namely catheter HFJV (C-HFJV), from a mathematical–physical as well clinical point view. There are known issues with applying anesthesia and artificial lung (ALV) during surgical procedures in upper airways, e.g., bronchoscopy or tracheostomy. principles, advantages, disadvantages discussed context basic physical principles clarify proper use method. technical construction, its functional properties biophysical view, introduced. Also, placement set-up ventilator, indications risks contraindications C-HFJV analyzed. This leads explanation potentially optimal techniques for applications.
